Swami Purnatmanandaji, Secretary of the Dhaka Ramakrishna Mission, has spoken out in bold, articulate terms against Islamic violence against the Bangladeshi Hindus. He did so in front of the Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka. He appealed to the Prime Minister for exemplary punishment of the perpetrators of such dastardly acts of Hindu cleansing in Bangladesh. Our heart swells in pride at this bold stance adopted by this seminal monk of the Ramakrishna Order.

Tomorrow, 22 October, 2021, Friday, at 11 a.m., Bangladesh Standard Time (Indian Standard 10.30 a.m.), all Ramakrishna Mission Ashrams and RKM-affiliated Private Ashrams located in Bangladesh will hold a 'Human Solidarity Bond' in silent protest against mass atrocity on Hindus by Islamic fundamentalists. Devotees and Ashram Committee members will stand, banner in hand, to lodge this protest against demolition of Hindu temples and houses, property loot, the setting of fire of Hindu habitation, molestation of women and murder of innocent Hindus by Islamic extremists. Finally, this protest is against the conspiracy to ethnically cleanse Hindus and evict them from their homeland that is Bangladesh.

If Islamic countries do not allow the propagation of any religion other than Islam, neither should non-Islamic or secular countries allow Islam to be propagated there. It cannot be a one-way traffic for it is patently unfair and a two-way fairness should also be a principle of secularism.

76. The destruction of Hindu temples, loot of Hindu property, forced conversion of Hindus to Islam, molestation of Hindu women, forced eviction of Hindus from their homeland and the Partition of India -- all these will recoil on their perpetrators. The Law of Karma is inviolable. In the fullness of time these crimes will boomerang on the criminals in the decadence of their civilization. Fortitude and patience will pay.
