PRICE AND PRIVILEGE
Just now received the 'Privilege Card' from a diagnostic clinic that has 'empowered' me to a 5% discount on (God forbid) all future medical expenditure incurred at this clinic. Privilege, indeed. Wonder where commercial duping is leading the people to -- raise the charge at will and offer 'privilege' thereafter. So, does the principle of privilege that was so repudiated and abolished by the French revolutionaries continues to this day donning its commercial cloak? No, no, this 'privilege' is the cloaked version of capitalistic exploitation that holds as ever human sacrifice as the prized offering to propitiate the deity of the ever-emergent civilisation. No wonder has it been said, 'সবার উপর মানুষ সত্য, তাহার উপর নাই |' ('Above all is the human being, none above he.')
But the saga continues and humanity bleeds from this constant drainage of wealth that send economic disparities soaring unto desperation and eventual revolution.
Down with privilege ! Long live humanity !
