POLITICIAN AND THE PUPPETEER
Moved like puppets by the Master Puppeteer, careered into self-centred activity by the onrush of incessant desires, political leaders behave, out of massive ignorance, as if they are the dispensers of justice and fair-play on this planet of infertile dreams as delusion eludes vision of the doer within. Thus goes on the saga of selfish sustenance as experience approximates the seeking soul to its inmost Self while others, inebriated by the intoxicant of life, carry on with the programme of self-delusion. So the world moves on in progressive and retrogressive cycles, beginningless, endless, ad infinitum.
Meanwhile, politicians, heavily reeling under the intoxicant divine, keep pretending that they are the gods of this earth. And in this lot must be included all those messengers of God as well who have harboured exclusive feelings of kinship to adherents of their creed while preaching hatred and violence towards those outside their immediate apparent fold. These founders of cults were more political in their proselytising motivations than they were spiritual in their aspirations. All in all, politics has ruled and ruined the world over and over again and rare, indeed, has been the advent of the truly spiritual personality whose love embraced the whole of humanity irrespective of their subscription to the seer's propounded principles of philosophy and life.
The Puppeteer smiles all the while, while His stringed instruments feign omnipotence under a myriad garb and in turn keeping pulling the strings they have craftily attached to their flock. Indeed, it is a puppet-show all the way.
