WHY LEFTIST IDEOLOGY APPEALS TO THE YOUTH ... 1
Young people easily get attracted to leftist idealism because of the corrupt capitalism with all its repulsive consumerism that pervades society today. College campuses and university arena where young minds interact intellectually and professors with leftist leanings influence the way they think are full of this leftist ideology. Marx has provided the foundational texts, the theory with all its detailed analyses and trappings thereof for young minds to find food for their youthful idealism. The romanticism of revolution to bring about a just world order is far more appealing to the youth of substance than the crass commercial culture that lesser minds fall for. The call for justice being fundamental to the evolving human species, it holds the youth in its grip till middle-age experience dispels these early notions as they settle into the comfort zones of their respective lives. Those that fail to make their mark remain bitter about life and persist with their leftist allegiance out of conditioned conservatism in this line of thinking or become cynics of no consequence. But Marx and his ilk catch fresh recruits as the sub-generations that follow fall prey to the same line of youthful idealistic thinking and go through the same experience. Marx motivates them in youth but fails to provide an alternative way of effective transformation of society. So, ideology notwithstanding the leftists compromise themselves with the capitalist order, money, comfort, luxury et al, all the while harbouring distant hopes of the Marxist millennium which keep their ego in pampered fine shape even as their lives roll on with all the amenities at their disposal which academic attainments can buy. Many of these youths mature with Marxist thinking amd keep shaping their next generation in like thinking, passing the baton, as they say, from generation to generation, their nursery ever being college campuses and university arena.

Mother seeks our blood in dreadful deed, in Her sword severing our head. That is the purport of the poem which threw Swamiji into a death-defying transport culminating in he being completely overpowered by the frightful emotion flooding his being as the Mother in Her terrible aspect appeared before him. This poem of epic fury of the Mother depicted marks a radical departure from the soft and gentle worship of the Mother in Her homely aspect where 'ma ma hingsi' is invoked. This is the worship of the warrior who offers his head by way of love for the Mother and seeks not even immortality in return. Ramakrishna Mission, spread Vivekananda in the world. The world is burning. Must Swamiji's message wait? Send missionaries across the world, far, far more than you have till date, to rapidly propagate Swamiji. Annihilation is in the offing. Can you not see? Or, are you waiting for another Swamiji to be born to do what Swamiji had expected you to do? Must you frustrate him so?

From environmental crisis to the threat of nuclear holocaust, from political powerplay among nations to perfidious proselytism of faiths, the insatiable appetite of man to dominate fellow men, of the strong to tyrannise the weak, of the privileged to preserve position by ruthless exploitation of the dispossessed---these have driven civilisation to the brink of destruction. Can you wait to witness the final act of man's insanity then?
Spread Vivekananda, the anointed of the Avatār, the Apostle premier infused with the spirit of his divine Master, the soul destined to save the world from this crisis. MAY THE MASTER COME ALIVE IN OUR WORLD THAT IS FALLING APART---LET THIS BE THE MISSION ZEALOUSLY PURSUED
It is time now to propagate widely with intense missionary zeal the life and message of Sri Ramakrishna. When Swami Vivekananda had visited America in the last decade of the nineteenth century it was not expedient for him to preach his spiritual master's life as the times were not right. The West had a poor idea of India then and would not be able to grasp the depth and divinity of the Ramakrishna-personality. They would immediately compare him to Christ unfavourably and miss the significance of the modern master's life and message. It was thus deemed best by Swamiji to shelve his Master's personality for the while and awaken a sense of respect, even reverence, for the philosophy of eternal India which in course of time would prepare the West for receiving the great spiritual masters of India in the right reverential spirit. Accordingly, he had but spoken of his Master before his students and western disciples in private classes and had publicly delivered but one lecture in two sessions on Sri Ramakrishna titled 'My Master'.
Decades passed and in the 1960s Srila Abhaycharanāravinda Bhaktivedānta Swami Prabhupāda preached the personality of Krishna and Chaitanya before a radically altered common western audience with magical success. Thus began the ISKCON movement which spread like wildfire across the world. But the Ramakrishna Mission did not budge from the earlier stand taken by their founder and continued generally to teach the Vedānta to its western audiences, hardly altering course ever to massively preach the Master's life.
Today Krishna and his Bhagavadgitā are more well-known in the West than Ramakrishna and 'The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna'. The Ramakrishna Mission simply have not taken to spreading the life or the message of the Master with the missionary zeal that Swami Vivekananda had expressed in an interview with a western newspaper was his essential intent.¹ A century and a quarter has rolled on since that day and it is time indeed for course-correction. May the Mission spread the life and message of the Master with the missionary zeal that Swamiji had expected them to do but at which they have terribly failed him!

In an interview which a representative of Prabuddha Bharata had recently with the Swami Vivekananda, that great Teacher was asked: "What do you consider the distinguishing feature of your movement, Swamiji?"
"Aggression," said the Swami promptly, "aggression in a religious sense only. Other sects and parties have carried spirituality all over India, but since the days of Buddha we have been the first to break bounds and try to flood the world with missionary zeal."

It is to counter ignorance that generates evil that this mission must be accomplished. Let us deliver our best in utter detachment so that results adverse do not dishearten us, mission failed umpteen number of times does not discourage us to plunge in this war of attrition once more. Victory shall be ours, for truth ever triumphs, it being embedded as principle premier in the fabric of phenomena whose foundation is Life and Truth. The clarion call has been sounded by Krishna in Dvāpar and in this modern age just the other day by Swamiji. Let us plunge in and die game if need be but let us war on against the forces of primeval evil now manifesting as man's predatorial instincts gone berserk.

Once a bad habit sets in, it has to be painstakingly counteracted. Otherwise, character is destroyed. Truthfulness and verbal commitment are two such attributes that are best cultivated from early childhood. Else, they never become part of a person's personality. In the absence of fidelity to truth everything is in due course lost, beginning with spiritual consciousness and the possibility of liberation in life. However, materialistic people are not bothered about liberation as they live as the body instead of in it and care not for anything beyond the fleeting pleasures of life and all that are necessary for their fulfilment which they pompously term duty, obligation, work et al. But this is all in ignorance perceived and pronounced and is far removed from truth.

WE ARE IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION AS A SPECIES
We need trees, trees, plenty of trees, forests, vegetation in superabundance. Only then may we survive in a world made hostile towards ourselves by our very selves. We have injured the planet, abused and degraded it for our degraded sense enjoyment. We have upset the delicate balance upon which life thrives and it now for us to restore it if we wish to live on. Else, extinction stares us in the face.
Towards the end of his life Einstein had remarked that the human species would not be completely annihilated in a nuclear holocaust. It, should it happen, would consume two-thirds of humanity. The great man however said that humanity might not survive environmental degradation, though, which could be the likely cause of its ultimate end. These were wise words issuing from the lips of one of the great minds of all time and we ought to heed them and adopt measures that would thwart such a catastrophic end to our beautiful species for all its faults and failures thus far.

নেতাজীর স্মৃতিরক্ষার নানা উদযোগও সরকার নিয়েছেন | সে তো ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টি কেন্দ্রে শাসনে আসার পর | কিন্তু ইন্দিরা গান্ধীর সরকার মাটির নীচে ভারতের ইতিহাসের যে ক্যাপসিউল রেখেছিল তাতে তো নেতাজীর নাম পর্যন্ত ছিল না | আজাদ হিন্দ ফৌজের সৈনিকদের প্রতি নেহেরু ও প্যাটেলের বৈমাত্রেয় নিষ্প্রেম ভাবের কথা কে না জানেন ? এক কথায় নেতাজী ও তাঁর অনুগামীদের প্রতি কংগ্রেস সরকারের সুদীর্ঘ ছয় দশকের অবহেলা, এমনকি বৈরিতাও মহাবীরকে মুছে ফেলতে পারেনি দেশবাসীর মন থেকে | তাই আজ যদি কেউ সে প্রচেষ্টা করেন তো তাঁর ইতিহাস থেকে শিক্ষা নেওয়া উচিত কি তাঁর কর্মের ফল হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা |
নেহেরু তরবারিহস্তে নেতাজী ও তাঁর বাহিনীকে পূর্বসীমান্তে প্রতিহত করবেন বলেছিলেন | কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি বলেছিল নেতাজী জাপানের প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিদেকি তোজোর কুকুর | পণ্ডিচেরীর শ্রীমা তথা শ্রীঅরবিন্দ নেতাজীকে দেশদ্রোহী আখ্যা দিয়েছিলেন তিনি দেশকে স্বাধীন করার অভিপ্রায়ে অক্ষশক্তির সাথে হাত মিলিয়েছিলেন বলে | গান্ধীজী তো কত কটুক্তিই করেছেন সুভাষন্দ্রের প্রতি | তবু এত অনীহা, অবহেলা, তুচ্ছতাচ্ছিল্য, ইতিহাসবিকৃতি, অপমান, অবমাননা---এ সব অতিক্রম করে আজও ভারতবর্ষের জনমানসে আসমুদ্রহিমাচল নেতাজীই সর্বোচ্চ দেশপ্রেমীরূপে বরেণ্য রয়েছেন | দেশবাসীর মনে তাঁর সেই আসন পুনর্বার ইতিহাসবিকৃতির দ্বারা অথবা তাঁর নামে আকথা কুকথা বলে অথবা তাঁর মূর্তি ভাঙার মাধ্যমে টলানো যাবে না | এ প্রয়াস করছে ও করাচ্ছে দেশদ্রোহী কোনো অপশক্তি কিন্তু তা ব্যর্থ হবে | নেতাজী আছেন ও থাকবেন হিমালয়সম আসমুদ্রহিমাচল | 🕉 হিন্দু !

মানুষের কত দুঃখ ! জড়বাদী কী বুঝবেন ! চৈতন্যের চক্ষু না খুললে কি আর যথার্থ মানবতা জাগে ? মানুষের স্বরূপ সম্বন্ধে ধারণা যদি গোড়াতেই ভুল হয় তো কেমন করে তার দুঃখকষ্টের উৎসটি বুঝবেন জড়বাদীজন আর কেমন করেই বা তার ভবব্যাধির নিরাময় করবেন ? এ কি স্লোগান দেওয়ার কাজ, নাকি বিপ্লববুলি আওড়ানোর কর্ম, নাকি আবার বড় বড় মানবতাবাদ, নারীবাদ, সমাজবাদ, আরও কত কত বাদ সব, কিছুই বাদ যায় না আর কি, সে সবের শ্রম ? হৃদয়ে ভগবানকে যিনি দেখতে পান না, মানুষকে মাত্র দেহমন জ্ঞান করেন, আত্মার হদিস পাননি যিনি, তিনি কি যথার্থ মানবপ্রেমী কস্মিনকালেও হতে পারবেন যতদিন তিনি জড়ের সম্বন্ধীমাত্র থাকবেন ? একই ভাবে অপরপ্রান্তে ভগবানকে মেনে লোভী হওয়া, অর্থের দাসত্ব করা, মানুষকে শোষণ করা---এও নিকৃষ্টতম জড়বাদ | এহেন ভক্তি ভানমাত্র, মানুষরূপী ভগবানের অবমাননা | চৈতন্যের অনুগামী অন্যরূপ | সেই দিব্যধামে অবস্থান করলেই মানুষকে চেনা যায় স্বরূপে, তার প্রতি আসে মমত্ব, সহানুভূতি, প্রেম, এক কথায় হৃদয় উথলিয়া মানবদরদ |

1. Marx wanted to liberate humanity from the shackles of capitalism by imposing a worse tyranny of the party on them. But the worst tyranny of all was the materialistic ideology he thrust on man which his followers have ever since adhered to and abided by like gospel truth despite the advances of knowledge pointing to its glaring deficiencies. Marxism which abhors religion, considering it opium for mankind, has itself in being rigidly doctrinaire become a Godless religion.
2. Swamiji wanted the 'Udbodhan' to become in due course a daily to be distributed free a hundred thousand copies in the streets of Kolkata. His wish can easily be fulfilled online today. But the Ramakrishna Mission thinks otherwise. Why not fulfil the founder's fervent wish if you are true followers of his? In it lies the good of Kolkata, Bengal, India and the world in sequential progression. Is anybody of significance listening?
3. Swamiji remains the undying inspiration for me. Is he not the same for you as well? Let us read him daily, read into his thoughts, reflect on them, let them run through our system and thereon let us translate them into life-giving action for humanity. In it lies salvation for the individual and the aggregate. 🕉 Hindu!
4. I am convinced that if a person reads Swamiji diligently for an unbroken stretch of twelve years, he will be a realised soul. Begin!

To communists must be given the credit of defeating fascism. Soviet Russia almost singlehandedly and at an unimaginable cost of human lives halted the advance of Nazi Germany any further than it had done before it pushed Hitler's army back. This tilted the war in favour of the Allies and saved civilisation from the impending scourge of Nazi racial barbarism before the communists themselves cast all pretensions to civilisation aside and unleashed terror on their own proletariat population worldwide.
History witnesses strange twists and turns as it traverses its course hopefully towards a more human destination. As of now, though, rampant capitalism is on the rise with all its concomitant evils, its silent blood-sucking of the masses, its evil imperialistic designs both in commerce and in politics with democracy and human rights and civilisational tall talk providing the perfect ruse for the unbridled exploitation of the weak and the dispossessed. The strong tyrannises the weak, capital and power---naked and noxious, rule with a ruthlessness that revolution aspires to overthrow one day but cannot in a world of radically altered reality. The tussle now is of civilisational supremacy with the Islamic forces at war with the West. The battle goes on.

Will it not be tough going for BJP in 2029 unless it radically shifts gear? Anti-incumbency may be massive, now held tightly under carpet. 2024 was a scare. 2029 could be decisive. Time for deep introspection, 'abolition' of sycophancy and narcissism, and adoption of quick rectification measures. Action, not talk, necessary, and genuine sympathy for citizens all, not hobnobbing with the prized and the privileged. Above all, the Prime Minister must learn to visit affected places promptly, afflicted people immediately, address grievances swiftly, and stop linguistic gimmicks and affectation in speech. These will enhance his image immensely.
Decentralisation is also the call of the day. Young voters are not so easily wooed by the personality cult. So, such slogans as 'Modi hai toh mumkin hai' will not work with them. The BJP, despite protestations to the contrary that it is a highly decentralised democratic party unlike the family enterprise that the Congress is, has thus far been projected as the Modi Party, sort of a one-man show. This worked wonders in 2019 but almost ousted the gentleman from power in 2024 before post-poll alliances forged in the wake of the election shock salvaged for the party another term. But the lesson that history sought to teach and that ought to have been learnt was not learnt and the consequence may become evident in 2029.
As yet three years remain for course-correction but who will bell the cat? Sycophants can't. Beneficiaries won't. Modi must take cognisance of these developments instead of happy-harbouring in his bubble. Horse-trading does not work wonders anymore when people are aggrieved, and no amount of media-hype in favour of the ruling dispensation can alter reality on the ground. Three years are as yet time enough but is anybody listening?

HAIL HINDUTVA!
A strong Hindutva is the best defence for Hindus in a world in which they have been perpetually persecuted, history testifying to well over a millennium. The sad part is that Hindus are even today badly divided on account of intellectual confusion, a terrible lack of historical sense, cowardice in a great many and plain perfidy in precept and practice by leftists who are the self-declared enemies of anything that goes by as religious. And Hindus are preeminently a religious people, spiritual in exceptional individual cases.
It is time to study our persecuted history in detail, understand the manifold causes of our historical enslavement and adopt measures to rectify and remould our lives along the lines laid down by the Rishis, ancient and modern.
Hindus must adopt en masse Hindutva as their line of defence as the Sikhs under the great Guru Gobind Singhji did and reorganised themselves as a martial race capable of adequate self-defence and self-preservation without being invasively aggressive. So must Hindus. And not to forget that the Sikhs did so to protect the Hindus and Hinduism, three of their great Gurus in Arjan Devji, Tegh Bahadurji and Gobind Singhji having suffered martyrdom at the hands of Islamic forces in the process, the Mughals in this case being the carriers of such jihad. Sikhs are Hindus, never forget. Emulate their courage and religious conviction and arise in defence of the Hindus.

Sri Ramakrishna had prophesied that he would return to this terrestrial plane after residing in his subtle body in the hearts of his devotees for a hundred years. Now, we cannot for sure ascertain the exact date of his prophetic statement and, hence, cannot for sure know exactly when the period of his hundred-year stay in his devotees' hearts would have ended. If it be assumed that even at the latest it is from the date of his demise, then he ought to have returned amongst us in 1986. Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi has said that the Master would return after a hundred years when a lot of white-skinned devotees of his would visit this land. Is it possible then that Thakur was reborn in the year 1986, the year of the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu when in point of fact thousands of white-skinned Western devotees had flocked to Kolkata and Mayapur in connection with the quincentennial celebrations. True it is that in 1986 Kolkata and Mayapur were literally inundated with Western devotees, Vaishnavas ordained in the ISKCON Movement. It is phenomenal that Holy Mother could have divined that at this time many white-skinned devotees of Thakur would flock even as the likes of Nivedita, Christine and MacLeod were then assembling in Thakur's name. But, surely, Holy Mother could have had no inkling of Mahaprabhu's 500th birth anniversary coinciding with Thakur's 100th year from his great disappearance. And herein lies the significance of her remarkable statement.
Holy Mother has described Thakur in his new incarnation as one dressed in the garb of a Baul with a broken stone-pot in his hand and a hubble-bubble, and walking along the path leading to Bardhamān, oblivious of his surroundings. On the way there would be a boy excreting by the wayside. Clad in the ochre robe and sporting a sizeable beard, Thakur would be walking seemingly endlessly and eating likewise as he trudged along. He would be born once more a Bengali and would appear somewhere in the direction of Bāli and Uttarpārā, two districts to the north-west of Dakshineswar. When Holy Mother had remonstrated that she would under no circumstance come to this Earth again, Thakur had laughingly retorted that she had no way of escaping as the eternal companions of Thakur were all inextricably linked to him even as the stalks of the Kalmi creeper were, and a single tug by him would bring them all to the terrestrial plane with him in his next incarnation. Even Laksmi Didi, Thakur's niece, had said that she would not come even if she were sliced to shreds like tobacco leaves but had met with a similar response.
Swami Saradananda has said that he has heard from primary sources that Thakur would return after the lapse of 200 years and this piece of information he has recorded in his magnum opus biography of the Master, 'Sri Sri Ramakrishna Leela Prasanga' (Sri Ramakrishna the Great Master/Sri Ramakrishna and His Divine Play). Thus, there is a confusion as to the lapse of time from the last incarnation when the Master will reincarnate himself.
In 'The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna' the Master boldly announces that he will be reincarnated in the Vayu-Kon, a specific direction among the ten directions of the Hindu astronomical system. He says that he has not imparted full knowledge to his disciples as in that case they will refuse to come with him when he reincarnates. Those of his inner circle of devotees will not be liberated as they will have to accompany him when he is embodied again in the Vayu-Kon.
In America one afternoon at Alice Hansbrough's place Swami Vivekananda suddenly brought up this subject and said that he would have to once more come to planet Earth with the Master after a lapse of 200 years. When queried as to why he would have to come just because Sri Ramakrishna had said so, Swamiji said, "You do not know the power of these souls, Madam. When the Master comes, he brings his entourage along."
Swami Vijnānānanda has said that the Master would reincarnate after 100 years and then, and not until then, would his movement rapidly spread. This he said in response to a devotee's query as to why there was such a paucity of spiritual awareness in the world and so much of material meanness despite the fact that the Master had just the other day conducted his terrestrial play. Evidently, this question was asked in the wake of the closure of the First World War.
So from all these accounts it seems that there are two plausible timelines of the Master's reincarnation---100 years and 200 years. Well, 100 years have passed since his death in 1886 and if he has been born in 1986 then he is now 40 years of age and in all probability about to surface among devotees, having done with his lot of spiritual austerities. It is for us then to await his emergence on the human stage sooner or later to bring to it the fruit of his realisations. We anxiously await.

Vivekananda was by his own affirmation 'Condensed India'. Rabindranath said to Romain Rolland, "If you wish to know India, study Vivekananda." Eknath Ranade gathered Swamiji's patriotic assertions in the form of a book ['Rousing Call to Hindu Nation'] for us to read them in a compact form and feel inspired unto patriotic activity.
So, youth of India, reject these leftist professors of perfidious political intent and follow Swami Vivekananda who remains to this day your iconic luminous leader.
