COMMENTS GALORE ... 119
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : There is this word 'incorrigible'. It is apt in regard to you. '... hide under Vivekananda's dhoti' if you say and yet be oblivious of the insult to the sage thus inflicted, you need serious examination of your civic sense and sensibility. My blessings on you. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : What? In you, O Lord?
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : By the way you seem to have taken a real liking for my posts. I dare say you have been a trifle enslaved by them. I bless you. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : You are not a sannyasi. You are a pretender to it. You are far removed from religion, leave aside realisation. My blessings on you. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : What a poor descendant of such a prosperous spiritual line! I pity your failure to live upto your great ancestor's expectations. Anyhow, keep trying. My blessings attend your endeavours. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Advaita Ashrama : Ramakrishna Mission is not propagating the message of Swamiji at all. We are individually doing far more than what the Mission is collectively doing in this regard. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Gopa Sarkar : You are right. The right has been increasingly absorbing welfare measures which are leftist in leaning to keep its course right. Otherwise what will be left of the right? Right?
Sugata Bose @Gopa Sarkar :
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : But numbers matter in the world context which includes India, you know. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Subhrajyoti Bhowmick : Let us hear your view for a change. You only keep questioning. Answer for a change.
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : Numbers matter very much in a democracy ruled by the electorate.
Sugata Bose @Gireeshan Pandan : Because these two ideologies bear much in common. So, leftists can make common cause with them, often to their horror when they wake up to die overnight after an Islamic revolution aided by them, as in Iran.
Sugata Bose @Gireeshan Pandan : Congress has done a lot of things for the country despite its failings on multiple counts. Mere propaganda work for electoral benefit does not conduce to the well-being of a country. Patriotism demands much more conscientious work. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Gireeshan Pandan : These pearls of wisdom must be practised. Then alone they will adorn the necklace of Mother India like the Gangā mauktikāhārinī. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Gireeshan Pandan : Few read anything after all, fewer still delight in reading history. I dare say the writer of this message also has read scant amount of history to have been prompted to make such a puerile post. Gaining viewership is an online attribute, albeit a worthless one, and every such post adds onto the intellectual garbage that we onliners are subject to daily. Discernment and discrimination are necessary to avoid falling into intellectual pitfalls. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Amitav Chandra : But Muslims are rapidly increasing in numbers owing to higher fertility rate of Muslim women, the ethical order of Islam which mandates giving more and more birth to Muslims, the ease of cousin-marriage, hence early marriage and the quicker turnover of generations, the close-knit family system and community belonging, ease of divorce and remarriage, quadruple marital allowance, ease of conversion into Islam and the near impossibility of getting out of it. Islam is the fastest growing religion among the world's major religions. So, civilisation has a great challenge ahead.
Sugata Bose @Gopa Sarkar : But worldwide there is a serious resistance to capitalist exploitation that is building up.
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : At heart with Hindutva. Come and join us. Left, left, left right left. Forward march! 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Rajendra Kundu : Communism has thrown up its variants worldwide by the process of adaptation. Classical Marxian socialism under western capitalistic counter-revolutionary pressure having failed, left movements worldwide have evolved variants to prepare prerevolutionary conditions en route to fulfilment of their aspired end.
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : Charlatans everywhere masquerading as messiah. Religion is big business. People, superstitious and frightened, gullible and easily duped, fall into their trapa. Real men of realisation and with the divine commission are rare. Thus, religion despite great principles fails the people and the world remains mired in materialism that eventually destroys.
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : Have always been so. You have newly acquainted yourself. Hence your new awakening and happiness thereof.
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : It is one continuous life that is partitioned into many through ignorance of the essence of things. Heavens and hells, earths and realms are nursery rhymes caught in causality and space-time. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Sukhmender Malik : What you call real life is also fake. Please realise your SELF (ATMAN) and enjoy your REAL LIFE.
Sugata Bose @Priyadarshi Gupta : And Judaism, Christianity and Islam were born in less hospitable conditions among less evolved races. Marxism, though, is somewhat rational but for that very reason limited in its understanding of the deeper realities of life and Nature.
Sugata Bose @Randeep Bhattacharya : What about holy jihad? What about holy crusades? What about the conversion war? What about the entire expansion of Christianity and Islam through the sword and other variant war efforts? All unholy? Do you admit it, Your Holiness? Then ask your evangelists to stop their conversion programme across the world.
Sugata Bose @Sister Nivedita : We become weapons in our own hands, not in the hands of gods. We verily are those gods and goddesses who we in our amnesia worship and beg graces of feebly. 🕉 Hindu!
Sugata Bose @Diganta Sengupta : A philosophical fall for a Buddhist monk, one venerated as a Bodhisattva by millions. The purpose of life in the Buddhist perspective is Nirvān or the extinction of the phenomenal self through the cessation of desires. The Dalai Lama has thus uttered something which is totally antithetical to the Buddha's teaching and to mainstream Buddhist tradition. This is what happens when a monk panders to the vanities of the worldly or when he himself is trapped in the snares of Māyā which evidently seems to be the case here. The pitfall of life is to seek happiness and suffer sorrow in its wake, the purpose of life being the conquest of sorrow through the obliteration of desires (trishnā). 🕉
Sugata Bose @Rajendra Kundu :
Sugata Bose @Angel Rama De :
Sugata Bose @Swami Shamil : Vedānta does not. It frees man from phenomenal enslavement.
Sugata Bose @Kushal Dasgupta True. But in so doing it enslaves them politically and socioreligiously, denying franchise, freedom of speech and expression, democratic rights and freedom to practise religion.
Sugata Bose @Kushal Dasgupta : True. But in so doing it enslaves them politically and socioreligiously, denying franchise, freedom of speech and expression, democratic rights and freedom to practise religion.

MESSAGES GALORE ... 147
MESSAGES GALORE ... 147
1. We have to reclaim our Hindu heritage throughout the Indian subcontinent. Conversion has robbed us of much. The process must be reversed. And it will ve done in due course. A twelve hundred year recovery process is on. The civilisation, brutally wounded like perhaps no other in history, must be restored to its pristine purity.
2. Evil accumulates daily and must be eliminated hourly if good is to prevail. Leave idle philosophising and get to work.
9. We are free. We must use our freedom to help free others.
10. Hindu female fertility is on the wane as the energy earlier manifested in motherhood is now manifesting in pursuit of career.
11. It is very important to spread the message of Swami Vivekananda across India, especially those areas where women are suppressed through religious and cultural patriarchy. Women must be freed, not westernised though, but freed in truth to live their independent lives of dreams and desires tempered by decency and self-restraint. Religion must not in any manner constrain them to live caged lives.
12. Every Hindu life lost is so much pain. 19 more lost to indiscriminate footfall. 🕉 Hindu!
13. Hindu numbers are drastically declining. Whole family lines are being wiped out due to lack of progeny. Beware! We are facing civilisational extinction. We must reverse the trend. 🕉 Hindu!
14. So long as Muslims and Christians keep converting Hindus to their fold, talking about interfaith harmony is cowardly and hypocritical.
Written by Sugata Bose echoing Sri Aurobindo's observation to the same effect but couched in his characteristic linguistic style.
15. God cannot be contained in scripture. God transcends scripture. The Vedas alone accept this fact and announce it.
16. Spread Swamiji, spread Swamiji, spread Swamiji. That is the sole surviving hope of a sinking world. We must save humanity.
17. I exhort the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission to propagate Swamiji on a war footing and in a manly manner.
18. Monastic orders come to ruin when they pander to the vanities of the prosperous and the politically powerful.
19. We need a few manly monks without the slightest shred of effeminacy to spread the message of the Vedānta across the globe.
20. God is a peculiar paradox and God is the highest harmony. What appears as paradox to the undiscerning is harmony in the eyes of the seer.
21. Books are precious if even of opposed ideology. May Devi Sarasvati's worship on all counts continue!
22. I bought books on communism and allied subjects, biographies of their founders Marx and Lenin published by Mir Publishers of the best paper and binding at unbelievably economical subsidized prices from Communist Book Stalls. Even now the National Book Agency (NBA) books are so affordable and of good quality, both material wise and content wise.
23. Communism in its evolving variant forms cannot be checked or eliminated so long as capitalist exploitation is there.
24. The people of the world are awakening. Despite repression using state machinery with massive capital support, the masses are on the move. Everywhere, even in Africa and Latin America, the people cannot be suppressed anymore. The days of feudalism masquerading as capitalism with a human face are over. Popular sovereignty is making its mark everywhere. Who can resist the tide? Our duty is to give it a Vedāntic direction.
25. Marx and Lenin and communism cannot be outdone by abusing them. Communism is a comprehensive socioeconomic system, an ideology, a philosophy, and must be combatted comprehensively. Utopian religious ideologies thrust against it will not woo its followers away. Repression will not work. The youth are naturally idealistic and will be drawn towards communism and its derivatives because of its declared war against capitalistic exploitation whose blood-sucking mechanisms they easily become aware of in their university campuses and in their university libraries.
The ignorant cannot successfully fight intellectuals. Therefore, if Hindutvavādis wish to combat communism, they must equip themselves intellectually and not resort to empty talk, fuming and fretting, and engaging in fruitless exercises that are counterproductive to their cause. They should arm themselves thoroughly with the knowledge of science, literature, history, economics, philosophy, the world's religions and their scriptures, and the arguments for and against anti-Hindu forces before they plunge into what could be termed Dharmayuddha. 🕉 Hindu!
26. How many men hope and how many men die but hope never dies!
29. We are in much better times now. But how long will such ease of life last when demography is rapidly changing?
30. Save Hindu lives everywhere. Hindus, multiply to save civilisation. 🕉 Hindu!
31. Heavy propagation of Swamiji the call of the hour. Civilisation in crisis. Come ye all and join us in this massive movement lest we be in deeper peril.
36. If you cannot or will not help me in my mission to spread Swamiji's message far and wide, do not hinder it. I have learnt to detect my friends at last. No more pretension please. It will not work. Myself am a million. I care not if you are careless about supporting our cause. May Swamiji bless all!
37. Masculinity in message-propagation needed, real missionary zeal. Thakur-Ma-Swamiji did not descend on earth for puerile pastimes.
38. Words of fire that will burn their way through to the very heart of deluded humanity are the call of the hour. Our very civilisation is in peril. Humanity is on the edge of a precipice. If we cannot collectively do course-correction we are in for serious trouble. Annihilation at the hands of demonic forces awaits the divine ones. Must you watch your own demise thus or will you rise up and resist? 🕉 Hindu!

52. Before the Advaita Vedānta philosophy of this master teacher of humanity (Shankarāchārya) all other world's philosophies pale into insignificance.
53. Women in suppressed societies are slowly breaking their barriers & emerging free. Patriarchal tyranny is reaching its expiry date.

64. We need fiery monks who can speak with authority, not men who seem almost apologetic in their preaching.
65. It is not one life but life after life, an endless series available to realise the Divine. But why wait so long? Do it now.
66. This world is our office place where we must work out our salvation.
67. There are too many enemies of our civilisation. We must continually strengthen the forces of nationalism. India must be preserved.
68. The left and the right must go together if we are to forward march.
'Left, left, left right left. Forward march!'
69. How many people suffer the blood-sucking silent oppression of capitalism! A few roll in luxury while masses of men destitute die.
70. 🙏🙏🙏 This sign by way of comment made to my posts absolutely irritates me. Are people so lazy or lacking in creativity that they cannot even write a few words that pertain to the posts?

75. Mao was right. Numbers matter. That is why proselytism is paramount in Christianity & Islam. Numerical strength alters discourse.
78. Even Swamiji said that Hindu numbers have terribly declined since the Mohammedan conquest of Bhāratvarsha. Number matters.
79. Why is Europe burning? Numbers matter.
80. Moneyed people benefiting from an exploitative capitalist order have a great revulsion for left politics that aims at levelling socioeconomic disparities. The blood-sucking capitalist order is to their liking simply because they can have their cup full of life's pleasure out of it, out of the dripping blood of the exploited masses.

83. Have merit, cultivate it but do not advertise it. Achieve in silence. Be not enslaved to public recognition.
84. Socioeconomic evolution will not end with capitalism. Socialism is resurfacing as it necessarily must with people's education.
85. Communists talk of fascist violence. Capitalists talk of communist violence. Why not talk as well of capitalist violence?
86. With rise in mass education people's demands will rise. Capitalism to survive will have to be wedded to socialism. People's power is paramount.
87. The easiest way to keep people enslaved to business barons is to deflect them with religion that offers 'a pie in the sky when you die'.
88. How humanistic is exorbitant pricing of consumer goods and services? How ethically sound is it after all?
89. Democracy, thou modern mask of imperialism!
90. Masses of men educated in the Vedānta will go over the world preaching the divine doctrine the divine way. But whither character?
91. Call them to action by offering them 'a pie in the sky when you die'. And what a precious pie at that!
92. Create greed with advertised goods and call it dharma.
93. Like in the 1960s, the youth, dissatisfied with the state of things, are alive to new needs now that will touch them deeper. This is the time to take Vivekananda to them.
94. The three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, are wrong as they have no notion of rebirth and karma.
95. Marxism is wrong because it only has a materialistic view of things. The spiritual reality behind is entirely missing.
96. Ignorance makes us view the Spirit as matter. There is but one reality. And it is the Spirit. Ignorance gone, lo, the Spirit shines!
97. Only Hinduism has a clear-cut rational-spiritual explanation of reality. Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Marxism all fail at it.
98. The more you absorb and assimilitate essentials, the more you grow. Hinduism has a genius for this. Thus it has survived so long.
99. Akhanda Bhāratvarsha will become wholly Hindu again. A matter of time. Kālenātmanivindati.
100. What is truth in religion will survive, what is untrue will perish. So with the fate of faiths. 🕉

MY MESSAGE 1 --
MY MESSAGE ... 1
1. God is real. He is Reality itself. And He can be realised.
2. The path to realise Him is called Dharma.
3. Dharma holds the aspirant in the righteous order.
4. Dharma enfolds the moral code that is mandatory for success in spiritual life.
5. The aim of earthly evolution, the earthly destination, the destiny of life, the endpoint of terrestrial and non-terrestrial existence is liberation, Mukti.
MY MESSAGE ... 2
1. God is love. All earthly love have their source in God who is the ocean of love.
2. Bhakti is devotion that is love, Premābhakti. It unites the devotee to his divine beloved.
3. Ritualistic devotion (kriyākarma) and routinised devotion (chanting, kīrtan, pūja, sevā) are Vaidhibhakti which prepares the aspirant for Premābhakti which alone can help him/her attain God.
4. Purity is the precondition to attaining to divine love. All dross must be cleansed, all desirous distractions removed and the mind focussed on the Lord of Love. Then vision follows giving rise to inexpressible bliss.
5. The devotee having tasted of that bliss becomes mad for it more and more. This madness of love is the culmination of the particular bhāva (devotional mood) which the aspirant has and he/she has now obtained the full fruition of his sādhanā.
MY MESSAGE ... 3
1. Karma is any vibration, any thought, any movement, any change. In the phenomenal universe of incessant change karma is inevitable, hence in life unavoidable.
2. Life is held in karma. Hence, karma is dharma, for dharma is that which holds.
3. That being so, the science of karma must be known, the art of karma mastered.
4. This science of karma is called 'Karma Yoga' which involves the twin principles of attachment and detachment.
5. Attachment is one-pointed focus on an object and detachment is the withdrawal of such attention from it at will.
MY MESSAGE ... 4
1. Attachment is natural to craving man bound in the everseeking senses. However, detachment is difficult.
2. Attachment may be increased by natural infatuation at the lower level but requires development of concentration when the object of focus is some subject of study.
3. Detachment, though, requires greater control of the mind so that it can at will be pulled away from that object of focus. This requires the cultivation of dispassion which is the primary practice of yoga.
4. When both attachment and detachment have been like mastered, the yogi is ready for the highest spiritual realisation as also for real welfare work.
5. Detachment does not mean lack of love but freedom in love and in life. The combination of perfect attachment and perfect detachment constitutes the composite that genuine love is.
MY MESSAGE ... 5
1. Chant the Mantra incessantly. God is seated in His Holy Name. Mantrāruŕha Ishta. Therefore, chanting purifies the psychophysical system and draws the devotee nearer to God. The endpoint of this process is God-realisation, inexpressible bliss and freedom from the fetters that bind.
2. The Guru is the living God and the shishya/shishyā the loving devotee. This is the spiritual relation.
3. Chanting the Ishtamantra automatically helps the world as well through the propagation of holy vibrations. The holy soul, the holy mind, the holy word is potent and conduces to world-welfare even without, so to say, dynamic physical activity. Passivity of contemplation of God is most potent in terms of bringing about active changes for the betterment of society. Peace is engendered, peace that is the one thing lacking in a frenzied, feverish world.
4. Who will serve the world if not you? Who will cater to lokasangrahārtham, the gathering in of humanity, if not you? Upon you lies the whole burden---think this way.
5. This life is a golden opportunity to realise God. Do it.
MY MESSAGE ... 6
1. Optimism there must be, never pessimism, for we are divine and headed directly to the Divine which is our Self, the Atman.
2. Never condemn yourself. You are your greatest friend, in fact the only friend who will never leave you. Identify who you are and then see what a wondrous change comes in you.
3. The world at large is the visible body of God but behind it there is a deeper dimension of divinity which must be reached and securely possessed. For this spiritual practice is necessary and absolute faith in the Guru who is God Himself.
4. Chanting brings the body-mind into harmony with the higher forces operating in Nature and opens up the gateway to the Divine.
5. Meditation tranquilises the mind and cuts off contact with the sensory world for the while.
MY MESSAGE ... 7
1. Puranic Dharma : Vedānta : : Applied Science : Theoretical Science
2. Swamiji was the vāhan (vehicle) of Thakur.
3. Simplicity wins its way through to the Divine.
4. A great man comes and influences masses of men, careering them towards Truth and Light.
5. The descent of God is the ascent of man.
MY MESSAGE ... 8
1. Rousseau said, "Man is born free but is everywhere bound in chains." And I say, "Man is born bound but must shed his fetters and free himself."
2. The light shines within but is covered by the dross of desire.
3. The light of the day obscures; the dark of the night reveals.
4. There is no past, present or future in incessant motion. There is but an eternity of stillness, the moment frozen forever.
5. The Ātman is the single seer, the sole witness, the solitary being without a second with no hope or possibility of replication. And yet multiplicity springs as if by magic from the very depths of the Being without contact with It, parallels never meeting.
MY MESSAGE ... 9
1. Sayeth the Lord, "I'll heal you. You'll be whole again."
2. When tradition bites, it is best to modernise.
3. The tiny contains the mighty. Never neglect the seed.
4. The river floweth free and the river floweth within banks, rushing headlong to the sea.
5. To know the night of the day and the day of the night is the secret Veda.
MY MESSAGE ... 10
1. Non-reaction is sannyās.
2. Tranquillity is health.
3. Moderate work, moderate rest and incessant calm recollection of God are the means to achieve life and light.
4. The Ganga flows within right upto the throat. Witness it.
5. A vast field, limitless, endless. Under a solitary tree stands a dog, still and gazing. The field stretches to infinity.
MY MESSAGE ... 11
1. Tamas is to countered by Sattva and equilibrium in living restored in the Sattva-Rajas combination.
2. Feel free within, outer constraints notwithstanding. You are the infinite being abiding in this limited form but stretching far beyond.
3. The Gīta, the Kathāmrita and Swamiji's works quicken divine intelligence that dormant lies within the depths of consciousness.
4. Freedom is not to be attained. You are already free. The surface cover of desirous dross hides the truth that ever is.
5. Look upon the universe as the field of divine delight.
MY MESSAGE ... 12
1. God is within. Seek within.
2. Be at rest. Restless wandering does not conduce to spirituality.
3. Contemplate. Think noble thoughts, the highest thoughts you can.
4. Breathe evenly.
5. Eat judiciously. Food affects the mind. Pure sāttvik food and pure sāttvik thoughts lead to God-realisation.
MY MESSAGE ... 13
1. Man is neither born nor does he die. It is this mistaken notion that he is the body that creates this delusion. Give it up and as immortal soul abide free.
2. Speak less, reflect more. Introspection is worth more than looking outside. All wealth is within.
3. Life is to love and learn en route to freedom.
4. Have an ideal in life and hold fast onto it. Salvation is that way.
5. Slowly progress towards truth and light, gaining your ground inch by inch, steadily without faltering, falling or failing.
MY MESSAGE ... 14
1. The early caller strikes the gold.
2. He who waits, wins.
3. To win is to look within.
4. Sorrow strikes a chord in human hearts. Sorrow lends social solidarity. The crucifixion of Christ, the martyrdom of Hassan and Hussain, the martyrdom of the early Christians, of revolutionaries, of the Sikh Gurus, all have integrated peoples.
5. And yet the recurring theme of life, its underlying principle, its end and aim, its driving force is bliss.
MY MESSAGE ... 15
1. Life is to learn and life is to love. Love is the fuel that sustains life. It comes from God. God, though, is a most unIndian word, an Abrahamic name for the Divine who in Sanātan parlance is called Ishvara.
2. Life is a unique opportunity for advancing spiritually, the human body being the fittest instrument for realising Reality and the terrestrial condition ideally balanced to achieve the divine end.
3. Karma must be constantly performed but with perfect detachment as to the fruits of action and with equal care as to avoid inaction. Calmness in work and intense mental activity even when physically at rest is the secret.
4. Bhakti is unbroken intense loving remembrance of the Divine Beloved, the least forgetfulness bringing intense pangs of the sorrow of separation.
5. Jnana is realisation of the oneness of all.

THY ENEMY, MY FRIEND
THY ENEMY, MY FRIEND
It is laziness that is at the root of much of this slow progress of an individual in both spiritual and intellectual life. Insufficient exertion, absence of enterprise, and plain indolence, the careless, casual frittering away of time and energy that keep a person bound in karmic chains when freedom is all the while at hand, yet goes unheeded, uncared for, unseized. Inertia thus persists---no growth, no gain, no progress, just stagnation and a slow sinking in the quicksand of Māyā till the time to deal death the deathblow has expired. Then the inevitable follows in sad sequential order.
