Through the thick and thin of life assert your freedom. Swamiji said, "Freedom, freedom is the song of the soul." We have to respond to his clarion call emanating from the Kathopanishad---"Arise! Awake! And stop not till the goal is reached." 

Our slumbering nation, suffering a thousand years of alien occupation, oppression, plunder and carnage, awoke to his clarion call from Madras, "My India, awake!" And a million would-be-martyrs plunged themselves into the freedom struggle, freedom from colonial fetters, freedom from foreign forces trying to subvert our culture and impose Abrahamic means and methods. 

The struggle still continues as we battle against inimical forces of Islamisation, perfidious forces of Christian proselytism, corrupt forces of crony capitalism and dastardly forces attempting the subversion of our democracy. A complex tangle it is and Vivekananda shows the way out of this maze of Maya that has wrapped us up in its deathly charms.
