WE ARE IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION AS A SPECIES

We need trees, trees, plenty of trees, forests, vegetation in superabundance. Only then may we survive in a world made hostile towards ourselves by our very selves. We have injured the planet, abused and degraded it for our degraded sense enjoyment. We have upset the delicate balance upon which life thrives and it now for us to restore it if we wish to live on. Else, extinction stares us in the face. 

Towards the end of his life Einstein had remarked that the human species would not be completely annihilated in a nuclear holocaust. It, should it happen, would consume two-thirds of humanity. The great man however said that humanity might not survive environmental degradation, though, which could be the likely cause of its ultimate end. These were wise words issuing from the lips of one of the great minds of all time and we ought to heed them and adopt measures that would thwart such a catastrophic end to our beautiful species for all its faults and failures thus far.
