Oh, what scarcity of water is affecting Rajasthan and Maharashtra ! The eldest son of a famer family, plunged in debt, commits suicide. Must we fail to respond? Must we allow our countrymen to perish even as we while our hours by in the pursuit of pleasures, the delights of desire which are bought at the cost of the blood of the mute millions, the suffering masses for whom there is neither subsistence nor sustenance nor the basic amenities for plain survival in inhospitable conditions that grow more treacherous by the year as the earth warms up?
