THE MERGENCE OF THE EGO IN THE ABSOLUTE

The drop dissolves in the ocean to be one with it. The drop is now no more. It is only the ocean. And it was forever so. In delusion the drop had discovered its distinct identity and in knowledge the delusion has disappeared. It was like an apparition in the dark which melted into thin air at the break of dawn.

It is this idea of the dual and the non-dual with its intermediary link in the qualified non-dual -- the Dvaita, the Advaita and the Vishishtaadvaita -- that spans the gamut of Hindu 🕉 thinking and experience, both in the empirical world of objective experience and in the spiritual world of subjective experience culminating in the transcendence of phenomena and residual residence in the Absolute.
