MASS MISERY

Mass inaction is leading to mass misery as technology fails in the wake of natural disaster. Preparedness is nil as government stands still as the statue of mis-governance.

And yet inaction persists in the average individual. Laziness has afflicted the land like a persisting pestilence.

Students refuse to budge from their playful pastimes, the offspring of their over-indulgent parents who cover up their own lapses in parenting under the cover of pseudo-western concepts half-digested to absolve them of their negligence in the performance of life's duties. Thus, and otherwise as well, students no more study the way they ought to in preparation of their roles as future citizens.

Charlatans delude the masses as the masses delude themselves to allow them such perverted privilege.

Capitalists cheat as they exploit labour to their hearts' content, ever devising fresh means of clever manipulation. Labourers strike back by going down the dark alleyways of rotting revolution and hunger-inducing strike as their immediate means of redressing life's injustices.

All along politicians do their dirty dance in every phase and sphere of national life, the spiritual included.

The silent witness to all this, the environment degrades.

Tell me, whither are we headed? Where lies the future after all?
