It is better that people read up Swami Vivekananda's authentic biography than listen to fictitious tales about him from their ignorant and pretentious Gurus who know nothing about him. Hearing Sri Sri Ravi Shankar recount such fantastic tales about Swamiji makes not only for absolute indignation but an innocent laugh, too. One wonders then to what levels of ignorance the polity has sunk when multitudes gobble up these nonsensical stories about the seminal sage of our times amid peals of laughter, with the Guru innocently partaking of the fun as well.
The pertinent video is on YouTube and is a standing testimony to where culture has plummeted in India in recent times with the influx of these Gurus and their dished out spiritual delicacies which are lapped up by the laity gleefully.
