A horrible decline in intellectualism is the order of the day. This must be resisted on all counts. 'Vairagya' means 'discolouration'. Then why must the image hold so much? Let go of the unreal and manifest the Real. Go beyond rituals and forms if you dare break free from the web of Maya but be not trapped in the finer vanity of a supposed superior understanding where ideas are mere frothy words and ideals, unlived articulations. Better be sincerely immersed in forms than be hypocritically abstinent from it. Either way, sincerity holds the key. Live not in superficial adherence to sensory delights or in abhorrent repudiation of such while secretly savouring the same.
