Shashi Tharoor's data exposing British colonial dastardliness is doubtlessly illumining but his manner of speaking, despite his devastating diction, does not inspire somehow any great sense of patriotism. Although he exposes the British very badly but his smiling face at doing so does not indicate that he feels the Indian ignominy, insult and injury bad enough to maintain some sort of a solemnity. Somehow he gives the impression that it is only an academic exercise he is up to and not a patriotic act of the feeling of intense pain at his countrymen's sufferance.
