P.S. The above list was suggested by an eminent public speaker on the 'Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita' who I had interviewed in my youth seeking his selection. He had asked me to write the names of Thakur-Ma-Swamiji and randomly seven more direct disciples of Thakur to complete the list. Evidently, the gentleman had wished to impress upon my mind that the entourage of Sri Ramakrishna's disciples was spiritually elevated so far above the rest of humanity that they would easily qualify as the 'choice and master spirits of the age' and would, thus, merit automatic selection in this list above all else. I did not contest his idea and here, after three decades and more, hazarded the same selection by way of first instalment from someone.
