MAN AND HIS MISSION ... 23

MAN AND HIS MISSION ... 23
The element of wonder must never be lost. Great art, great music, literature, the deep discoveries of science must never fail to inspire, enthrall us, hold our imagination in mute marvel. The long-lost little acts of love, the springtime blossom, the dewy dawn, the great acts of vast Nature in ever-renewing repetitive flow, all these must never fail to quicken us with life and joy and refresh our vision with the light of the first morn when we beheld in rapturous delight the vast vault of the heavens.
This beholding the new in the known, this witnessing the eternal in the ephemeral, this seeing the transcendent in the temporal, this ever-envisaging the wondrous in the common acts of life and living, in the events of Nature all around, composes the substance of our fascination which we must never lose. This rapt wonderment is the force of creative life that enhances and evolves a meaningful morrow out the common clay of the rough-hewn day.
Yes, this sense of wonder we must never lose in the melee of mundane life. The baby's eyes must never be lost.
