SHALL JUSTICE BE DONE AT LONG LAST?

SHALL JUSTICE BE DONE AT LONG LAST?

Proud of you, Abir (Meghnad Bose), for standing ever on the side of the dispossessed, the disinherited and the despised, for no fault of theirs, though, as is so often the case with prejudiced perceptions persisting in society. This is the manifestation of real strength of character and the expression of one's courage of conviction.

A day will come when these archaic notions bred in ignorance of scientific possibilities will have been left way behind and the movement which today is on and heightening ever so in intensity will have been relegated to the glorious past as yet another triumph of the human soul battling against the iniquities of life. And then it will seem to future generations how primitive their ancestors were who could have subscribed to such horrendous betrayal of such a vast section of humanity despite professed claims to modernity and all that it stood for in the curious admixture of science and superstition that characterised the so-called progressiveness of the polity. What to speak of now of medieval legacies thrust on modern man in the name of absolutist injunctions dictating his choices and preferences in personal living?

But today, in the hour of reckoning, the movement is swelling in support and the inevitable dispensation of justice for the persecuted may only be delayed but not denied for long. It is here that you are doing a seminal work of spreading awareness and creating empathetic vibrations in the polity that should enrol more and more members to the cause and compel the regressive order of the day to hearken to the voice of sanity and sameness. My heartiest good wishes and blessings ever attend your commendable ventures as always.

With love,
Baba (Sugata Bose)
