ZEROING IN UNTO TRUTH

ZEROING IN UNTO TRUTH

Simplicity (guilelessness), purity (continence) and the thirst for freedom from material bounds coupled with deep feeling for all are the preeminent attributes for spiritual exaltation. Added to this is intelligence of a discerning kind that can filter out undue attachment to obstructive elements and you have the primary package for spiritual progress.

As the path narrows out and the horizons broaden, it becomes the fabled edge of the razor that one treads. Every step has to be watched, every move of Maya countered, every hurdle coming your way deftly climbed past before the broad terrain of easy onward movement opens out once again. In alternate modes, in cyclical patterns of relative ease and difficulty, the mountainous path through valleys and precipices lead you to the base of the perpendicular heights that enclose the summit to be scaled.

Now there is no hope of further ascent for it is an impossible climb straight upward. In desperation your soul cries out for help. And help arrives as the rope is thrown down to you by the Guru (spiritual preceptor) once again for this final assault on the citadels of the heavens.

God in His mercy descends as the Guru and takes you up gently unto His abode where you dissolve, so does the Guru and all that reigns is the One that has always been, the resplendent Self brooding on itself beyond time, beyond space in the vast nothingness where opposites meet. The dream is smashed, the game is over and consciousness gleams in boundless terms, the infinitude of the being holds itself, nor small nor big, frozen, dimensionless, solidarity of existence.

The windward side you scaled to summit. Perchance, the leeward side may beckon you too. Should that happen, then down you go in knowledge supreme, an embodied being with disembodied thrust unto the human habitat to draw others up. So the game renews and so the game goes on till you give up all traces of Maya for good. Om!
