MY COUNTRYMEN, AWAKE! NEELGUNGE CALLS, JHIKARGACHHA CALLS.

MY COUNTRYMEN, AWAKE! NEELGUNGE CALLS, JHIKARGACHHA CALLS.

Thousands of INA prisoners of war were brutally murdered in the dead of night by the British at Neelgunge and Jhikargachha Transit Prison Camps and Jawaharlal Nehru reported the death of only a handful. Why this betrayal by Nehru and the GOI of independent India till date? When will we unearth material enough to expose the British before the wide world so that all their tall talk on British fair play and justice will vanish into thin air and they will be denuded as a barbaric people who have subverted civilisation wherever they have colonised peoples to build their own puny island nation?

Is it not our citizen's duty to devote time to these issues and redress the wrongs that have been done to us by the British and the governments of independent India or do we think that we may just absolve ourselves of all such obligation by blaming the authorities and expecting them to do everything by way of redress while we pass our time in personal pursuits and pleasures? Is an indolent unconnected comment like 'Jai Hind' or 'Jayatu Netaji' enough by way of righting the historic wrongs or do we need to be studious a bit more, diligent a bit more and sincere a bit more in our pursuit of truth and the uncovering of the real facts of history as opposed to their fabricated derivatives?

I leave it to you to consider these contentious issues and act in consequence to the beatings of your conscience. I only wonder what Netaji would have thought of all this fanfare about him without adequate participation in the struggle to redress the historical wrongs our motherland has suffered. I, for one, will spare no means to furnish material to you through my pen and through bringing to the fore all such writings of others that carry information pertinent to the wronged revolutionaries and the martyrs to our freedom struggle.
