POESY : CRY TILL THY TEARS BE POESY

CRY TILL THY TEARS BE POESY

Cry till thy tears be poesy.
Nor shed a tear less,
Nor shed a tear more.
Cry till barely the drift be on
That shall carry thee ashore.

In the midst of the raging sea of life
Shed thy salty tears,
In the dreary desert sand of strife
Dry thy eyes of fears.

The golden mean do strike in all,
Free thyself of arrears.
Fair aesthetics, may it in measure small
Stall thy flowing tears!

Till love blossoms in heart so pure
That heaven seems so near,
And springtime bloom on dewy dawn
Catches a dewy tear.

All of life is a seasoned flow,
In measured metre endears.
Cry my eyes, in soulful glow,
But a drop or two in tears.
