THE MAHATMA FROM A MILLION PERSPECTIVES ... 2

THE MAHATMA FROM A MILLION PERSPECTIVES ... 2
If we fail to honour one of the greatest human beings that has ever been, on account of our domestic differences, we shall have failed history and will be relegated as a people to where we then shall duly belong, the chamber of oblivion, and, if rediscovered ever by an investigative posterity, we shall merely live on as a relic of future curiosity about the dead past.
Never, never shall we allow such a national blasphemy. We must honour our heroes, our great men, and that greatest among them who 'bestrode the world like a colossus', the leader, the light, the guide supreme in a dark world of colonial consequence, the voice of a muted people, the suppressed millions groaning under poverty, ignorance and alien shackles, the Mahatma of peaceful preeminence and sanity supreme in a world gone berserk with senseless violence even unto self-destruction.
