THE HINDU CHRIST

(With due acknowledgement made to Swami Ekarthananda for having originally posited this idea.)

Let us indigenise Christ and, so, stop the dubious conversion of Hindus to Christianity. Let Jayadev's song incorporate this shloka from his modern brother lyricist-poet and expand ever so slightly to accommodate the Semitic sage thus :

'Keshava dhrita Chrishthhashareer,

Jayajagadeesha Harey,

Jayajagadeesha Harey.'

This we did with the Buddha and it worked. So, let us do the same with Christ and see if history repeats itself or not. This way Christianity, albeit the Indian version, much edited and incorporated into the fold of the Sanatan Dharma, will also get a rational basis, a proper philosophical foundation and will, thus, survive the onslaughts of science which is threatening to make it extinct.
