HEAVEN, HELL ET AL

Attachment to life breeds the desire for its continuance post mortem in heaven; deprivation on earth feeds in the hope of heightened enjoyment in heaven; fear of the unknown breeds fear of the afterlife and infuses hope of heaven where things will be better and not worse as feared. Ignorance causes fear, knowledge fearlessness. The brave care to combat the senses this moment; cowards compromise with the senses now and for the hypothetical eternity. Despite their dreams of a paradise of perpetual pleasure they will be dragged down by their karma, their unresolved tendencies, to earth where they will undergo recycling till sanity dispels deadly delusions and their vision is restored even as Saul's was from blindness unto the clear vision of Paul post the encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus.
