FREE HINDU SAMAJ (SOCIETY) JUST AS HINDU DHARMA IS FREE

FREE HINDU SAMAJ (SOCIETY) JUST AS HINDU DHARMA IS FREE

Freedom is the precondition for growth. That society which allows the maximum freedom grows to fulfilment best.

It is wrong to assume that freedom given will be abused and will lead to licence and licentious behaviour. It is simply not true.

It is in the organic nature of man to have a degree of self-restraint that is not imposed on him by any external agency but simply flows from within. The divine essence in man prompts him to behave in a self-restrained manner unless doctrinaire impositions of immorality are thrust on him that condition his responses to external stimuli otherwise. Thus, it is wrong to assume that man behaves ethically only when religious restrictions are imposed on him and that he would otherwise behave in a beastly manner. That is putting the cart before the horse. After all it is man who has developed ethical codes of conduct and not the other way round.

Thus, it is puerile to suppose that society would fall apart if religious restrictions were raised and the spirit of man allowed a free rein for man to breathe the fresh air of freedom. Society would be strengthened by such allowance of freedom rather than weakened.

So, let us live and let live within the unbounded bounds of Hindu 🕉 society so that our polity is strengthened just as our Dharma already is.
