A CASE IN HISTORY, A CASE IN POINT

Here the word 'courage' is most important. Courage, not compromise as has been the characteristic in parts since the days of the Swami. With his demise, the demise of the ideals that he stood for and exemplified in his being and his life, need not be brought about to suit situational demands beyond a reasonable measure. The Swami's followers need to take stock of the situation and see whether any such historical exigency anymore ought to hyperconstrain them to passive piety. 

Swamiji was dynamism personified. To quote his illustrious contribution to the development of India by way of truth-telling is perfectly admissible but it were better if in a greater measure Swamiji's commandments on his followers were observed without editing discourse or deflecting course to suit organisational exigencies that ought no more to exist beyond facilitating easy 'go with the flow' principle. Hence, Swamijji remains unfulfilled in the larger context through the weakness of the polity since his days and Chakravarty Rajagopalachari's aspirations remain unfulfilled as well.
