IN APPRECIATION OF A WONDERFULLY PERCEPTIVE HARMONIC COMMENT OF SHARMISTHA CHATTERJEE

Sugata Bose : Are we predestined to a fixed fate or are we the architects of our own fate? What is your view, my friend?

Sharmistha Chatterjee : We may have been born with a fate but with multiple options and we are to decide which one to choose, thus chiselling out our own destiny.

Sugata Bose : A wonderful harmony you have struck, Sharmistha, between predestination and individual freedom to choose between multiple ends. I am reminded of the story from 'The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna' where Thakur beautifully blended the two antimonies. And here you are, perhaps quite unconscious of it or subliminally conscious of it at the most, articulating the same idea. This is a marvel and speaks of the ingenuity of the human mind and the possibility of a common access to the grand philosophical principles that lie ever in wait for fresh discovery. The process has been found, now tread along the selfsame way of independent thinking for further fruition of the creative faculty in you. I will be happy to read more of such incisive thinking that finds its way through such articulate expression. May Thakur bless you!
