Here the Mahatma floundered.Narayanan Gandhi In saying that Gandhi caught the pulse of the nation, you are one with millions of his common contemporaries and many scores of Indian leaders of his time. In saying that he floundered in guiding it to its good you are in the miniscule minority amongst them. In the present times when slandering Nehru and (Gandhi too to some extent) is the current fashion you are in good company. But the discerning say that at Gandhi's door has been laid the blame for the ills that the country faced due so some omissions of Nehru and many vile deeds of Indira Gandhi.Sugata Bose Thank you for initiating a discussion through your response.
