WHEN MEN HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO

WHEN MEN HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO

To seek a cheap popularity it is becoming fashionable to fault great souls on flimsy grounds. It were better if the critics were to attempt attaining greatness themselves through dint of their labour instead of so wasting their life's time and attention faulting others. The greats are like beacons for us to find our way through life's labyrinth and ought not tobecome easy targets for shooting our darts prompted by pettiness and pervading ignorance of everything sublime and holy. This is a disease of the spiritually debilitated that needs treatment in the light of a return to roots and not a surface projection of the unreal self which distorts the meaning of life and its higher imperatives.

The youths who indulge in this decadent pastime ought to introspect before spraying about indiscreet ideas indiscriminately to seek a footing in the public imagination and in the process effectively helping waste national prime time and energy pursuing the wild geese that they so project for many to chase or be chased by. It is regrettable that there are many who actively encourage these miscreants instead of censuring them or at least ignoring them. These latter ones are as much to blame as the ones who are primary participants in this delusive dedication to distraction. May the great ones who they so criticise give direction to their lives and make them worthy of constructive contribution to the national discourse!
