IT IS THE LIVING GOD THAT SPEAKS ... 1

IT IS THE LIVING GOD THAT SPEAKS ... 1

Vivekananda was the organ voice of God.

The sage of Dakshineshwar could hardly walk for more than a few yards before he was transported to rapturous delight in perception of the Divine within and in all of phenomena. Yet, he had a message to deliver as much as he had the energy to impregnate humanity with a new set of vibrations of the Divine that would transform it for good and set it on the royal avenue of a new spiritual civilisation of universal peace and harmony that would usher in the age of truth and enlightenment. But he himself was so fragile in his outer frame that he could scarce carry the message of his soul beyond the frontiers of his immediate environs. And for this he needed a leonine soul with sterling character and robust physique who would have the requisite spiritual realisations, the intellectual capacity for comprehension of the intricate problems that beset humanity and the fire of personality to light up a darkening world of gloom and hopelessness with the eternal message of the Atman. And this he found in the boy, Narendranath, who would by the Master's magic touch emerge as the triumphant Vivekananda.

In later years this nameless, homeless monk spoke and the world listened. His was the organ voice of God as the West stood enthralled to listen to it and was transported to dizzy heights of a liberation that they had neither dreamt of nor could have ever imagined that they would see it embodied in a finite human frame. Vivekananda was the anointed of God, nay, he was the living God himself and when he spoke, the world listened.
