THE DAY HAS COME

THE DAY HAS COME

If this nation wants to rise in self-respect and honour, it will have to honour its INA heroes and mark this day as its declared day of independence. 21 October, 1943 remains the day when a dependent nation dared the mightiest power on earth and declared its independence. The tragedy remains that Mahatma Gandhi did not lend it his voice. Had he done so, the history of our nation would have been different and India would have for sure attained to a freedom undivided in terrain and not wounded by the horrors of Partition.

Netaji and Rash Behari Bose gave the country a direction which the Mahatma at a most crucial juncture failed to do and we had to pay the price for it. Today, after the lapse of 75 years in oblivion, history comes alive again as the Prime Minister visits the Red Fort to unfurl the tricolour to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the formation of the Provisional Government of Free India on 21 October, 1943 by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who became its Prime Minister and Minister of War and Foreign Affairs. May the long overdue process of the resurrection of the memory of the heroes of the Indian National Army who died to liberate India begin with this motion of the Prime Minister! May the true history of the freedom struggle emerge from the shadows of the fabricated history foisted on the nation by the Congress governments since independence! Jai Arzi Hukumat-e-Azad Hind!
