Ah, what a mighty utterance of Swamiji we hear once again in Ranganathanandaji! With overflowing heart he spread the message of his Master across the wide world, bringing a new hope to humanity springing to life and action. What a life he lived imbued with the singular spirit of Swamiji, never relenting a moment in his life's mission to bring his Master's words to as many he came across for as fleeting a moment as it may have been! Benediction personified in his advanced years, he proceeded to bless countless people with spiritual initiation and inspired them, thus, to dedicate their lives to the cause of the amelioration of human misery.
Swami Ranganathananda was a boy inspired by the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna and joined the Ramakrishna Order as cook of the then Mysore Ashrama. Barely a matriculate, he became a prodigious scholar in so many disciplines of Indian scriptural study and the Western sciences that one but wonders how it all came about. He opened the Hyderabad branch centre of the Ramakrishna Order which he developed into a premier centre for welfare, and cultural and academic excellence. Earlier at the Delhi Ramakrishna Mission he had inspired countless dignitaries and diplomats with his renditions of the Bhagavad Geeta in his famous Sunday lectures at the Ashrama. His magnetic addresses pulled even Smt. Indira Gandhi to the Mission to attend some of his Sunday lectures.
