This day we step into the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhi's advent on earth. It is his 149th birth anniversary that we celebrate today. I request friends to enter into civilised debate on his contributions and failings that altered the face of India for both good and for ill. May I now leave the stage for the audience to join in the discussion? The platform is yours but let it be an informed discussion, not the typical ruckus that obtains in the name of senseless vilification of a great man with human failings.
