PRAFULLA CHAKI, THE FORGOTTEN ONE

Everybody remembers Khudiram Bose but few care to recall that he had Prafulla Chaki as his associate as the daring duo went about their venture to assassinate the notorious Kingsford. Both became martyrs to the motherland's freedom - Prafulla Chaki by his own hands at the Mokama railway station where he was about to be apprehended while making his escape and, so, he shot himself, and Khudiram at the scaffold where he laughingly gave up his boyish form to enter the realm of the immortals. We must not allow our memory to do such injustice to some of the greatest revolutionaries thus and must dedicate ourselves to reverentially recalling their lives now and then to seek inspiration and act in accordance.
