What happened to those Indian police officers who had, under orders from their British masters, mercilessly tortured the armed revolutionaries for freedom? Did they all set sail for Britain post India's independence or were they reinstated in independent India's police force to now suddenly switch loyalty and start serving the newly discovered motherland?
