CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19 : SOME DIRECTIVES

CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19 : SOME DIRECTIVES

TO ALL WHO ARE MY KITH AND KIN IN THIS WIDE AND, YET, SMALL WORLD OF OURS

1. Wash your hands frequently for 20 s each time with soap.
2. Do not touch eyes, nose or mouth with your hands.
3. Keep the safe distance of more than 1 m from anybody else.
4. Wear face mask continuously.
5. Seek medical attention and hospitalisation at the earliest to prevent calamity.
6. Those who bite nails, please stop it and continuously keep washing your hands to prevent infection.
7. Quarantine the patient and keep yourselves [family members living in the same apartment] quarantined and at a safe distance from each other.
8. Remember, droplets carrying the Novel Coronavirus are carried up to a distance of 1 m from anybody infected with it by means of mouth and nasal discharge during talk, cough or sneeze.
9. Cough or sneeze into a handkerchief and give it for washing. If time does not permit to draw out the handkerchief from your pocket, wrap your arms around your mouth and nose to prevent the droplets from spreading.
10. Elderly people [above 60 years] and those having diabetes, heart ailment, cancer, obesity or any other life-threatening disease are more susceptible to death from possible infection with the Novel Coronavirus. These categories of people must be specially careful.
11. Youths are equally susceptible to this virus but may have a better chance of survival because of their greater physical strength, immunity and power of recovery. But they are being specially warned as not to take things lightly as they may be the unconscious carriers of this virus and they may, thus, infect others without knowing it.
12. Avoid going out on unnecessary errands and make it a point to only do so when emergency or dire necessity demands you to do so. At such times observe all the WHO regulations : (a) mask (b) safe physical distance from your nearest neighbour in a public place of at least 1 m (c) on returning home, have a bath with soap thoroughly and give your clothes for washing. If they are kept in a bucket or can for delayed washing, keep the lid on such bucket or can.
13. Regularly read the updates on the website of WHO [World Health Organisation].
14. My best wishes and heartfelt tearful prayers for all who are suffering in some way or the other from this dreaded disease [COVID-19] for their safe recovery. May Mother bless them all and keep them secure in Her lap !
