SPREAD HINDUISM ZEALOUSLY ACROSS THE WIDE WORLD
Saudi money is spreading Islam across the world. Patronage ever works wonders for proselytising. Wish Hindus supported more the spread of their dharma instead of ever being foolishly critical of it.
The Indian intelligentsia is largely ignorant in Sanskrit, the sacred language of the Hindu scriptures, and has no clue to the deeper aspects of the mother religion beyond entertaining certain vague ideas about the perennial philosophy (Sanatan Dharma), such surface knowledge gleaned from books written by equally surface scholars having neither grounding in the scriptures nor in spiritual practices that give insight into the meaning of the sacred texts.
This is the state of things in so far as Hinduism is concerned and it is so owing to lack of State support and patronage in the propagation of the religion of the land consequent on India having adopted the secular Constitutional stance.
It is unfortunate that the very culture which is the lifeblood of the nation should so lie in neglect owing to the apathy of the Hindus in general and the government in particular. We must redress this situation and through our individual and collective effort try to disseminate the message of the sages across the length and breadth of the nation and even across the distant lands as Swami Vivekananda had envisioned it would come to pass one day. Come, join me in this holy mission with a zeal that would put the most zealous missionary to shame.
