CALUMNY CAST ON JAYASREE GROUP MEMBERS BY RESEARCHER DUO OF RECOGNITION IN GROSS VIOLATION OF CIVIC NORMS
During a TV programme on Netaji, panellists must not speak over each other as is the case with this over-articulate 'researcher', ever overreaching himself in his bloated estimation of self and scant respect for other invitees. What more can you expect of such 'researchers' who know not how to hold patience while others talk or have a sense of decency to refrain from casting aspersions on other panellists? This has become the trademark of this group who recently, in a YouTube video, entered into a vitriolic attack on the followers of Netaji in Kolkata, more specifically, the members of the Jayasree Prakashan.
This is a most unfortunate situation where self-styled scholars and researchers claiming superior understanding of facts about Netaji's disappearance and being intolerant of counter-views should so mar the discourse by maligning others who are as well doing seminal work in the field. Has commerce got the better of these vilifying ones now that civility, gratitude and culture have been sacrificed at the altar of Mammon? After all, it was the Jayasree group of ardent followers of Netaji who had provided essential material to this vilifying group which catapulted them to fame and recognition, an assistance essential in their crusade at every point which they ought to have been gratefully acknowledging at every bend and turn in their campaign instead of maligning their mentors.
But, alas, fame is that last infirmity of noble mind, to quote Milton ! Then, what of ordinary mortals with their common traits of selfishness and self-interest? Hence, the act of ingratitude, insensitive as it is, to euphemistically put it. Hope that the Jayasree group will give a fitting reply to such calumny cast on them on open media by this 'researcher duo'.
