IN RESPONSE TO A DEVOTEE'S EXHORTATION TO RAMAKRISHNA DEVOTEES TO MAINTAIN A TRANQUIL SILENCE BY WAY OF FITTING REJOINDER TO THE CHIEF MINISTER'S VERBAL ASSAULT ON RAMAKRISHNA MISSION AND BHARAT SEVASHRAM SANGHA

That is cowardice, though. Registration of protest is the devotee's legitimate prerogative in whose absence these aspersions will carry on and such silence misconstrued as cowardice. It is not merely Ramakrishna Mission that has been under attack but more vociferously the offensive thrust has been against Bharat Sevashram Sangha. It is important that the Chief Minister be shown her place by the common man who she is the Constitutional representative of in West Bengal, and as such her office demands a higher decorum in civic behaviour. I cannot condone her verbal assault on our revered religious institutions nor can I accede to your exhortation that silence is the best retort to such remarks. As children of Swamiji who was the epitome of courage and character it is our duty to join hands in open criticism of the Chief Minister in this regard for the scant regard she has shown our esteemed institutions of spirit and pride. 🕉
