WHY BOTHER ?

Why do we give so much importance to what the West thinks of us? Their historical track record is abysmal. Let them correct their historical heresies first before we lay any importance to their uncharitable remarks about us. At any rate we do not owe a fig to them that we should so care about what they think of us. Their civilisation is built upon the depredation of the colonised world's wealth for which they should atone and rectify means. Their neocolonisation of Afro-Asia continues. So, what is all their sermonising the world about human rights, justice, democracy et al when they violate every principle related to these? 

We must be suffering from an inordinate degree of Anglophilia still to so seek the commendation of the Anglo-Americans. Let us give up this slave mentality and stand erect on our feet, that is, our own proud self-estimation built upon self-consciousness and self-esteem thereof. We were the leading light of the world for millenia when these western peoples had not yet emerged from their dark habitats. If we could then govern our destiny so well, so can we now. Therefore, let the West keep calling us names while we ignore them as we busy rebuilding our fractured civilisation once more. Vande Mataram!
