CONVERSION AND THE CORRUPTION OF A STUDIED SILENCE 

Why does Ramakrishna Mission never raise its voice against conversion of Hindus by Muslims and Christians? Sri Ramakrishna did not approve of (Michael) Madhusudan Dutt's conversion to Christianity and refused to speak to him when the latter chanced to meet the former at Dakshineshwar in connection with a legal case. Swamiji was indignant at such conversion carried out by Christians. And, yet, for all the tall talk of Vedanta in all its phases, Ramakrishna Mission never opens its mouth publicly in defence of the Hindus against this marauding Abrahamic proselytism. A shameful silence they maintain that in the long run can only alienate the Mission from the Hindu masses!
