'Myself last' was the motto Vivekananda preached and this is the basis of all ethics. To this, let 'The nation first' be added for good measure. This must be the formula for the regeneration of our motherland. We are her children. Ought not we to sacrifice everything for her well-being irrespective of the constant betrayal by politicians, businessmen, fanatical religions, hypocritical intellectuals and plain apathetic individuals by the millions intent on sense-gratification alone? It depends on how much we love our motherland and what fibre we are made of. At any rate, a reorientation in the education of our children along nationalistic but objective lines devoid of falsification of history or indoctrination of any kind is the need of the hour. The true history of India must be upheld before the children for it is in truth that strength lies and never in fabricated myths passing off as history.
