GIVE UP THIS VAIN IMITATION OF THE WEST, THIS CULTURAL SERVITUDE AND BECOME SELF-INSPIRED INDIANS
We have to decolonise our thinking and stop continuing to be photocopies of the West. Imitation is not being Indian, imbibing the national heritage is. Inspiration must come from within and not from the pat of the white man when he himself seeks in his desperation succour in the wisdom of the East. And where lies the foundation of such wisdom? India.
Children of India, awake to your sense of national pride and give up this impossible imitation of alien culture whose hangover simply seems a dead weight that you cannot get over. This is called post-independence servitude in cultural colonisation of the mind. Shake it off and stand free in self-dignity.
