We must cultivate character to be able to serve the nation well. Truthfulness and sincerity are prime virtues that ought to be made integral part of our beings. And together with it, a sense of cleanliness and beauty in all it aspects.
The mercenary attitude, even in patriotism, must be given up if we are to rise as a nation that can defend its borders adequately and administer peace both within and without. Rampant commercialisation of relations is not conducive to national well-being in this regard. Pursuit of wealth must not be at the cost of national consciousness for, flooded as we are today by frivolous images of falsified advertised truth and by a cinematic culture that is inducing terrible sense weakness in the nation, we are tending to be carried away by a shallow and frothy superficiality that will not allow deep thinking or study of our nation's problems and seeking the solutions thereof.
Hence, be brave and do not surrender yourselves to the flimsy charms of effeminate mercenary culture. Take up the martial attitude in your lives and start contributing to the renaissance of this great motherland of ours. Let the martial spirit of service and sacrifice replace the current commercial culture of profit and pleasure that is decadent to the marrow.
