IS WAR REALLY AN OPTION?

IS WAR REALLY AN OPTION?

Is war really an option? How far may we proceed and how fast at that? Escalation in the region could have catastrophic consequences knowing the nuclear threat to be always looming. Is it at all feasible to go into war with Pakistan and risk a whole lot of damages, temporary and permanent, to both us and the region including an arms race that will the undoing for our economy? Will it be a long-term solution considering the fact that the problem is a deep-seated political one and may not be solved militarily in a simplistic manner? Must a military measure adopted, therefore, be merely tactical and not a full-scale operation of war that will compound the present problem worse? I raise these questions not by way of oblique self-assertion of opinion but purely out of the urgency to know what you, my friends and my countrymen, think about this contentious, nay, critical issue that confronts us all.
