THE TUSSLE BETWEEN MATTER AND THE SPIRIT
Materialists ever imagine that spiritualism is on the decline and will eventually wane off into extinction. But theirs is a vain hope. So long as death persists in this world of impermanence and suffering reigns, the spirit shall be the only hope of solace for countless millions and for sincere seekers of the truth as well.
The inner essence is the reality in man and cannot be wished away by surface thinking along rational lines.The hankering of the heart shall continue and incertitude shall pin its hopes, albeit irrationally, on the divine agency within and beyond the ordinary grasp of things.
The limitations of the senses in being efficient providers of perfect joy and the fleeting quality of the sensations necessarily lead thinking men into questing the fundamentals of life. Matter is then rendered an insufficient answer as the questioning mind probes deeper into the heart of things.
Then new vistas open up in reflection and in meditation, and the subtleties unravelled discover the whole realm of the spirit. Spirituality then triumphs and has the final laugh as matter shrinks to its surface habitat and the soul is released in limpid spaces of infinite delight. The war is won as matter transfigured appears as the manifestation of the spirit and the whole of life becomes a celebration, deathless, fearless, free.
