What is the point in preaching the Vedanta in USA? That country violates every principle of the Vedanta day in and day out to maintain its hegemony the world over. If our Vedanta preacher of celebrated status in America has the guts to speak out against the inhuman military practices of the country which has perpetually kept the world in strife and has been more or less at the root of every military crisis the world over for three quarters of a century at least, then I will consider India's spiritual case well represented there. Else, we should call back all pretenders to the office of propagation of the Vedanta when in real terms they lack spine enough to speak out against the most violent outrages against humanity being systematically carried out by the world's most powerful nation in material and military terms.

Our Indian Government has been equally wanting in denouncing rogue moves by America, Britain, Russia and China against weaker nations and, yet, has the cheek to take the name of Buddha and Gandhi in international meets by way of pretentious show of civilisation and culture when in real terms they have not even the fundamental strength of character to stand for human rights anywhere.

Long back Swamiji had lamented the loss of character in the religions of the world. When he revisits planet earth next time, he will pronounce a stronger indictment against globally powerful regimes for perpetrating diabolical violence against humanity which is effectively retarding human progress the world over. Surely, Swamiji shall not be in sympathy with our characterless politicians or pretentious preachers of the Vedanta who, nonetheless, fake their roles as saviours of nation and humanity, following the footprints of the Swami who had once visited and stayed in the New World in his bid to save civilisation.
