''Saddam Hussein, bombing, bomber, helicopters, destroying us. I don't know. They (Americans), they saw this but they don't want (to save us). Why? We are human like you, you are." ... A young Kurdish mother in tears, with her little son, as the exodus of the Kurds to the mountains of Northern Iraq took place, the woman hiding her face in anguished supplication to God after beseeching the journalist with her tearful query, ''Why?'' A cry that went out to the whole of humanity from a young mother, ''Why? We are human like you, you are."
