WHERE'S THE MISSIONARY ZEAL IN THE MISSION THAT SWAMIJI FOUNDED, WHERE THE FULFILMENT OF HIS VOLCANIC IDEAS? WHITHER IDEALISM, WHITHER THE FIGHT, THE STRUGGLE THAT CONSTITUTES LIFE IN SWAMIJI'S ESTIMATION?

WHERE'S THE MISSIONARY ZEAL IN THE MISSION THAT SWAMIJI FOUNDED, WHERE THE FULFILMENT OF HIS VOLCANIC IDEAS? WHITHER IDEALISM, WHITHER THE FIGHT, THE STRUGGLE THAT CONSTITUTES LIFE IN SWAMIJI'S ESTIMATION?

Swamiji wanted the Ramakrishna Mission to be aggressive in terms of missionary zeal. But his aspiration for various reasons has not been fulfilled. Now is moment opportune to fulfil it. And it must be done by the lay devotees as well, for Swamiji had especially founded the Ramakrishna Mission for the lay devotees to conjointly work with the monks in spreading the message of the Master along with conducting various welfare works for the uplift of the country. May the senior monks who govern the affairs of the Mission realise the significance of Swamiji's wish and start afresh the grand work initiated by Swamiji on a war footing over 130 years ago! And on a war footing the Mission must now do it as well for the future survival of the Sanātan Dharma, as in expansion alone is life and the movement must rapidly spread across India and the world if humanity is to survive. Being a passive spectator with an above the world aloofness, so to say, in terms of revolutionary propagation, while rendering welfare service of diverse denominations of inestimable value will no longer do. The situation is dire and needs rapid response, not those idle song and dance sequences that do the rounds these days, for, if the followers of Swamiji go effeminate and ineffectual in dealing with mass deficiencies in culture and character, who on earth will fulfil his unrealised mission? Hence, propagate the Master's message and his protégé's ideas on a war footing. Nothing less will suffice.
