MESSAGES GALORE ... 108

1. Instead of blaming each other, let us conjointly work to spread the word of Swamiji. India will awake to his clarion call.

2. আমি এত লিখি | আপনারা দুটো কথাও নিজের মত করে লিখতে পারেন না যাতে স্বামীজীর বজ্রবাণী প্রসার পায় ?

3. In literature lives culture. For it is the recorded thought of yesteryears which links us to our heritage.

4. Hindus need to be more aggressive in defence of their Dharma. Swamiji wanted Hindu aggression in terms of missionary zeal.

5. I want to see hundreds of Ramakrishna devotees spread the message of Thakur-Ma-Swamiji with a tremendous missionary zeal.

7. Gardening should be taught to school children to bring them closer to trees. Love of trees at the formative level will help preserve the environment as these children in their adult life will take care of vegetation.

11. সন্ন্যাসী প্রতিষ্ঠান আজ লোভের বশবর্তী | যখন নিদারুণ অর্থকষ্ট ছিল, প্রয়োজন ছিল কিছু অর্থের মাত্র বাঁচার তাগিদে, তখন তাঁরা এ কাঞ্চনের পথ মাড়ান নি | আর আজ অগাধ সম্পদের মাঝে, বিত্তের প্রাচুর্যে কিনা মতিভ্রম ? বিত্তবাসনায় জর্জরিত ? অর্থই অনর্থের মূল---এ কথা এত সহজে ভুলে গেলেন ? এই বিস্মরণের ফল কি হবে ? এখনও সময় আছে, ঠাকুরের 'টাকা মাটি, মাটি টাকা'র পথে ফিরে আসুন | নইলে বিপথগামীতার অনেক বড় মাসুল দিতে হবে যে | আর, আমরা কি তা চাই ? কখনই না |

13. Swamiji had advocated non-vegetarian diet for the average Hindu, especially the labouring classes, to strengthen the rajasik character of the samāj.

14. Swamiji asked us to eat fish and meat to our hearts' content. Now I ask you to do the same because this nonsense of vegetarianism being a must for being a good Hindu must stop. 

Eat meat and build your muscles. A strong constitution is necessary to fight the vices of the mind where a weak constitution falls easier prey to them. Along with a non-vegetarian diet which includes vegetables and fruits, of course, chant, meditate, read, study and serve. That is the whole package for national well-being from this dietary perspective.

15. Let Hindutvavādis first thoroughly read Swami Vivekananda. Gross ignorance of his works is making a mockery of their socioreligious position in regard to the Sanatan Dharma, its principles, precepts, practices and history.

16. Eat fish, eat meat, be pure and serve. You will see God. Non-vegetarianism will not hinder your spiritual progress. Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Ramakrishna, Vivekananda---they were all non-vegetarian. So, why bother?

17. Poor fellows! They have packaged the whole of the Sanātan Dharma in the vegetarian basket. Ramakrishna, Sarada Devi, Vivekananda were all non-vegetarians. Who dares say they were not Sanātanis? They were, are and will remain the Ishtadev, Ishtadevi of the Sanātanis, leave aside merely themselves being so in their terrestrial divine drama.

18. Sacrificial meat is offered as bhog to Mā Kāli and we, Sanātanis, gleefully partake of the prasād. And, why not? Aren't we the Mother's children, valorous souls awaiting our own sacrifice at Her altar by Her blade? Don't we live and die but to please Her, our skulls adorning Her form, like necklace dangling about as She in lunacy executes Her deathly dance, Her steps convulsing worlds, destroying and recreating them? Mother's prasādi meat purifies the mind-stuff and with vision set open in the Ājnāchakra, we behold the Beloved's deathly dance. 🕉 Kāli!

19. Do not come to argue with me over Swami Vivekananda without having gone through his 'Complete Works' thoroughly for decades, to begin with, without pupil-like having associated with erudite and saintly monks of the Ramakrishna Order again for decades and, finally, without having followed the great Swami with your heart's ardour for decades. Do this and if I am still alive in the body and your mind hold to debate issues with me, we will converse. If you have already fulfilled the aforesaid prescriptions, I am sure your doubts have been resolved and you are in alignment with me who am in alignment hopefully with Swamiji by his grace.

20. My Ishtadevi is my meat-eating Divine Mother, Mā Kāli. I love Her and wish to see Her. She is my ideal in every sense of the term. She is my personal ideal. She is our national ideal. She is the universal ideal. Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda were three manifestations of Mā Kāli. The holy trinity of Thakur-Ma-Swamiji are one with Mā Kāli. They are the inseparable quartet of divinity singing the symphony of the spiritual Self.

21. It is a shame that so many are utterly ignorant about 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda' and yet have the temerity to pass judgement on such a seminal soul, a sage, an Avatār, Shiva incarnate, love personified, philosopher par excellence, poet in the highest Vedic sense, the chosen apostle of Sri Ramakrishna who held him in such high regard, such sublime estimation that was to fulfil in the coming years of the Swami's life! Such ignorance, such utter apathy to studying him, leaving aside the crust of religion to discovering its core! Indeed, if the Hindus are suffering today, it is because of this negligence in studying Swamiji and this preoccupation with silly, superficial dietary prescriptions and other puerile ritualistic restrictions that are in effect imposition on the suffering polity. Off with this frothy surfing and dive to the depths of your Soul to witness your own Self as the Lord of lords. In your transcendental unitary vision you will witness your own Self as the very God who you had in your phenomenal dream forever worshipped through life after life, not realising that it was You all along after all. Now know this that 'Thou art That' (Tat-tvam-asi) and abide in bliss.

Ātman = Brahman

22. Enjoy in youth and lecture about renunciation in old age. Sorry, we have followed Ramakrishna-Vivekananda since youth and will not listen to these tall talkers on religion when their teeth to eat flesh have fallen. Let them keep their own counsel. We will be lectured only by those like Swamiji and his brother disciples who were ākumār ūrdharetās.

23. Truth is my only friend, my father, mother, source, course, destination et al. I, the omnipotent Soul, must I bondmanlike bend before all? Never. Forsake me shall I but not Truth which is Me.

24. By flattering God, God is not gained. He is no commodity that in flattered price may be soft-purchased.

25. স্বামীজীকে ও বাঙালীদের মাছ মাংস খাওয়ার জন্য গালি দিয়ে আর রাম, কৃষ্ণ এবং বুদ্ধদেবকে বলপূর্বক নিরামিষভোজী বানিয়ে অহিংসার দূত চম্পট দিলেন ব্লকমার্গে আমায় নিক্ষেপ করে | এই সব বকধার্মিকে দেশ ভরে গেলে বিপদ | উনি যুক্তি, ইতিহাস, তথ্য, দর্শন কিছুই মানলেন না | অন্যত্র চেলাদের ওপর প্রতাপ দেখিয়ে পার পেয়ে গেলেও এখানে সুবিধা করতে পারলেন না | যুক্তিতে কোনঠাসা হয়ে দিলেন ছুট প্রত্যুত্তরের ভয়ে আমায় ব্লক করে | তা বেশ, আনন্দে থাকুন ভদ্রে ননী, ক্ষীর খেয়ে | আমরা ততক্ষণ একটু মাছের কালিয়া, মাংসের কোর্মা খেয়ে মজা লুটি | স্বামীজীর হাতের রান্না পেলে আরও ভাল হত | শুনেছি উনি বড় ভাল রাঁধতেন | আর সেই সুবাদে দর্শনটাও হয়ে যেত |

28. Why must religious authority govern social life? Keep the two apart. Free both. Let a healthy harmony prevail.
