SPARE THE MIND AND SAVE THE CHILD
Do not teach children religion. Do not indoctrinate them. Let then grow up in the sunshine of equal knowledge of all sects and religions along with the sciences and the liberal arts, and then let them decide on their own fate as to religious affiliation, if any, in their mature adulthood. This ought to be the way in a modern society.
You do not create better individuals by indoctrinating children with religious superstition and irrational dogmas and doctrines that cannot stand up to scientific reasoning. If religion is not taught the children, they will not become immoral as is feared. They are by birth and spiritual inheritance divine and you need not worry about their supposedly worsening morality and character in the absence of a regimen of religious indoctrination geared to make them supposedly better and closer to God and Truth. So, free children of this barbaric practice of mental coercion and corrosive conditioning, this slow poisoning of their minds with malicious messages that teach them to hate those who do not belong to their fold of intolerant, absolutist faith.
