HAS CONGRESS OUTLIVED ITS TERRESTRIAL TERM?

Had Nehru and others listened to Gandhiji's advice to disband the Congress after Independence, India would have been spared the dynastic dispensation that destroyed much of her hopes and aspirations, and thrived amidst the emergence of a far more vibrant multiparty polity. Or, would it have broken India in the initial absence of the consolidated guiding hand of the Congress which had the people's sanction? What do you say? If not then, has Congress outlived its terrestrial term now?
